Opening the RegClean program brings you to a very clean and easy to understand interface. The first area you find yourself in is the scan pc area. From here you can choose to scan your registry automatically with all the options selected or take a more hands on approach and select which of the 14 options you would like to scan for and fix including application paths, fonts, shared files and startup items. Once you click the start scan button you can see the progress of the registry scan and a running total of registry problems is shown. RegClean scanned my system within one minute. Once the scan has completed you are shown the results of the scan and any errors found and where they were found. Like all the registry fixer program I have reviewed RegClean requires you to purchase the program before it will actually remove the errors it has discovered.
In the RegClean settings area you can select if you want the program to startup when you system starts and also check for the latest program updates.
RegClean also has a backup area. Before any repairs are made to the registry RegClean will save you registry and that way if any issues arise you can simply go to the previous backup and restore your registry without harming your system further.
Finally RegClean has a manage startup programs area. From this area you can customise your startup programs and remove the ones that aren’t been used at the present time. This is an important thing to keeps tabs on becuase many programs are loaded into the Windows as it starts up that are not needed and they will cuase your system to slowdown becuase of their use of resources that are needed elsewhere to keep things running smoothly.
Regclean is a simple but solid program that gets the job done quickly of fixing your Windows registry issues without a lot of extra bells and whistles. I think this is a very useful program for the non-techie computer user and worth checking out if you computer is slow or having performance issues.
